From Loom to Luxury: A Weaving Experience

Step into the heart of Namibian craftsmanship with a guided tour of our weaving factory in Stampriet, where you’ll see pieces crafted on the largest stand-up loom in Africa. Witness the full process of creating heirloom-quality, handwoven carpets made from locally sourced Swakara wool.

Your experience begins with warping—a vital step that sets the foundation for the loom, preparing it for the intricate work of our skilled artisans. Meet Simon, our master weaver and factory manager, along with the talented weavers who bring each piece to life with care and precision. From the very first thread to the final masterpiece, every stage is a tribute to tradition, artistry, and passion.

Feel the textures for yourself as you explore this immersive, behind-the-scenes experience, offering a rare glimpse into one of Namibia’s proudest crafts. It’s an unforgettable journey for design enthusiasts, culture seekers, and curious travellers alike.

Visit our shop to discover a beautiful collection of wool blankets, rugs, and woven treasures—each piece crafted with care and rooted in local heritage.

Gather beneath the sprawling camel thorn tree for a tasting of Kharuhase, a locally crafted gin, as you sip and take in views over the lush pecan orchard—a serene symbol of progress and natural beauty in Stampriet. Enjoy candied pecan nuts, freshly harvested from the very trees around you, perfectly complementing the rich flavours of the gin. This sensory experience offers a unique way to connect with the region’s stories and landscapes.
