Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch is located on the fringe of the Southern Kalahari, surrounded by a mix of tree and scrub savannah. The reserve itself is crisscrossed by rolling, vegetated dunes, typical of the Kalahari.

The Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch’s nerve center is an old rambling farmhouse, renovated as a reception area, comfortable lounge, dining room, bar, wine cellar, office, wellness centre and well-stocked library.
When not relaxing in or around the pool or watching the waterhole with a drink at your side, try a morning nature walk, a nature drive to explore the amazing red dunes, a sundowner atop a dune, viewing the resident cheetahs, or even a horse-back safari.
Four Dune Chalets have ensuite bath and shower facilities with private dining in addition to which, the Two ‘Exclusive’ Dune Chalets each boast a private splash pool as well.
Eight Savannah Chalets: Six are built using straw bales. The two larger chalets: one comprises 2x 3/4 beds & 1 queen size bed; the other boasts 2x 3/4 & 2 single beds. All have ensuite shower facilities.
Six Garden Rooms: Four located in a courtyard setting, and two close to the swimming pool, all with 2 x 3/4 beds and en-suite shower facilities.
Six Campsites Situated about 1km away from the main lodge. Each campsite has a fully tiles ablution block with toilet, shower, washbasin and mirror, gas-fired hot water, oil lamp and solar-powered lighting.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch is situated approximately 50km from Mariental amid the red rolling dunes of the Kalahari Desert.
Take the B1 main tarred road southwards, past Rehoboth and Kalkrand. Approximately 12km before you reach Mariental, turn left at the large intersection onto the C20 road which then takes you eastwards – this is a very good, tarred road.
After about 12km, take the first left turn onto the D1268 gravel road. Continue northwards for roughly 25km until you reach the sign indicating Bagatelle Kalahari Game on the right-hand side of the road. Bagatelle Kalahari Boutique Farmhouse’s entrance is directly opposite the Game Ranch entrance. From the gate it is another 3-4 km into the dunes, where a warm welcome awaits you.
